Quail Valley Country Club takes on archrival Crouching Squirrel… the contest takes place amidst three love affairs, a disappearing diamond, and an exploding vase.
Justin- the new waiter at Quail Valley who just happens to be a scratch golfer. Quirky, nervous, around 25.
Louise- a waitress at Quail Valley- 23, gorgeous, leggy, ditzy, and equally nervous.
Henry Bingham- Executive Director of Quail Valley- devious, hyper, will do anything to win the bet- 50′s.
Dickie Bell- his disposition is only slightly worse than his wardrobe- equally conniving- 50′s.
Pamela Peabody- Chairman of the Quail Valley executive committee- also Henry’s mistress or is it Dickie’s mistress- mid to late thirties- gorgeous, sophisticated, worldly.
Muriel Bingham- Henry’s wife- sturdy, stoic, solid, and takes no crap from anybody- 50.

Longest running comedy/thriller in Broadway history and a Tony nominee. Sophisticated, successful playwright Sidney Bruhl has had a string of flops and now cannot think or write a new play. With finances running out, he received a brilliant script from a student. Desperate , Sidney offers to collaborate with his students while he schemes to steal the script and perhaps murder his wife at the same time.
Sidney Bruhl- mid-fifties- sophisticated, literate, uppercrust New England type with a larcenous soul.
Myra Bruhl- Sidney’s younger wife- mid to late thirties, slim, self effacing, on the surface an accomodating wife but underneath made of much sterner stuff.
Clifford Anderson- young playwright in his mid to late twenties- attractive, casual, unassuming, pleasant, with an inner soul as black as Sidney’s.
Helga Ten Dorp- The Bruhl’s psychic Dutch neighbor- 50′s, strong willed, Teutonic, eccentric.
Porter Milgrem- Sidney’s lawyer and best friend- mid fifties- stoic and solid.
